Kids Creations in the Community
FREE Calendars Sponsorship
For many New Zealanders, the past few years has brought a unique set of challenges or difficulties. At Kids Creations we see value in partnering with organisations and/or schools to share the load or help in anyway we can.
In 2011, we started a new initiative to supply calendar orders for FREE to 2 schools or preschools, where there was a genuine need to assist in the local community.
"Thank you for supplying our calendars in 2011, free of charge. The challenge our school faces year in year out, is sourcing enough funds to meet the demands of Duffy's Books in Homes. Our hard working, dedicated team of school fundraisers are local parents with big hearts who specifically set aside valuable family time each year to generate enough funds to cover this specific annual project among a raft of others.
This year, we survived with a charitable grant and monies set aside from the expected return through calendar and card sales generously promoted through Kids Creations and their calendar packs. The partnership between Kid Creations, our students design and our SST organisation promotions into the homes of our community is invaluable. Ensuring its ongoing survival is however, not without cost: cost of time. Wellsford's support team comprises of both working and stay at home mums who tirelessly roll up their sleeves, strap their preschoolers to their backs and are seen marketing along the streets of Wellsford for worthy causes such as Duffy's Books in Homes.
"So what does the generous support of Kids Creations mean to Wellsford School? The securing of Duffy's Books in Homes for another year. Your sponsorship secures for 2012, valuable family time as Mums and Dads are given further opportunity to read and spend time with their young children, night-time reading their Duffy books. It ensures our students are given an opportunity to step away from the television, the play station or the Xbox and explore the imaginative world of some of New Zealand's talented authors and ultimately, it is the seeing of broad smiles on the faces of our students, as they proudly carry their Duffy books home for another season."

"Dear Kids Creations
We have been teaching from the local church, the school library, Sumner school and now we are based temporarily at Van Asch School at the back of Sumner. Not only this, but many children have attended other schools in between shifts and have had to deal and cope with the change of friends, teachers and environments.
We will be able to use part of the funding to celebrate and share some fun with the children, finding positive amongst all this uncertainty. Thank you so much for choosing our school."
Heidi Key, Teacher, Redcliffs School, Christchurch
This year, we'll choose another two schools or preschools to receive their calendar fundraising FREE!

While we finished middle of the pack in 2011, we enjoyed the friendly rivalry amongst other corporate teams and the challenge of keeping fit over the winter months in what's best described as Auckland's "unpredictable" weather.
